Main Tournaments

European Youth Go Championships will be held in three age groups: U12, U16 and U21 (please note the change!). The age limits for U12 and U16 are defined as the beginning of the year (U12 born on or after 01/01/20014, U16 born between 01/01/2010 and 31/12/2013, U21 born between 01/01/2005 and 31/12/2009).

All participants must be citizens of a EGF-member country. Participants must register on-line at least 24 hours before the beginning of the Round 1. Participants must “check-in” with a document confirming the citizenships of an EGF-member country and the date of birth at least one hour before the beginning of the Round 1.

The registration desk will be open on Wednesday (March 25) between 3:00 PM and 10:00 PM. 

The meeting of team leaders will be held on Wednesday (March 25) at 9:00 PM. The verification of registered players from each country will be done during the meeting.

There will be 6 rounds: two on Thursday (March 26), two on Friday (March 27) and two on Saturday (March 28). The Round 1 shall start on Thursday, March 26, at 10:00 AM. The Round 2 shall start on Thursday, March 26, at 15:00.

The Round 3 shall start on Friday, March 27, at 09:00 AM. The Round 4 shall start on Friday, March 27, at 14:00.

 

The Round 5 shall start on Saturday, March 28, at 09:00 AM. The Round 6 shall start on Saturday, March 28, at 14:00.

 

The closing ceremony will be held on Saturday (March 28) in the afternoon. The prizes for the best players in various categories are announced: https://eygc2026.hgos.hr/prizes/

Time limits for all tournaments: 60 minutes of basic time, with 3×30 seconds Japanese byoyomi.
